The History of Rock & Roll a fost un documentar radiofonic despre muzica rock and roll. A fost difuzat pentru prima dată în 1969. Versiunea din 1969 a avut o durată de 48 de ore. Versiunea din 1978 a avut o durată de 52 de ore. The History of Rock & Roll a prezentat povestea muzicii rock and roll de la începutul anilor 1950 până în prezent. Producătorii Bill Drake și Gene Chenault au numit-o un "rockumentar". În emisiune au fost intervievați mulți muzicieni.
Postul de radio KHJ din Los Angeles a difuzat pentru prima dată această emisiune în perioada 21-23 februarie 1969. În toamna anului 1969, multe alte posturi au difuzat acest documentar.
